RoboRosewater’s February Highlights

If you’ve never seen the RoboRosewater Twitter account (@RoboRosewater), you’re in for a treat. RoboRosewater is a Twitter bot that has read Magic: the Gathering cards and can generate custom Magic: the Gathering cards based on what it has read. Read more about it here.

It can produce hilarious results, results that look like it could actually be a real card, or sometimes just make your head scratch. We’ve compiled some of RoboRosewater’s best cards from February 2016.

I love this card. Not only do you have to get 7 mana to cast it, you also need a Plains (after needed three green mana) to trigger its ability…then pay a bunch of mana. Then deal 1 damage. To a creature. With flying.

This card actually makes sense at pretty much every point, which is surprising considering how much text it has. But what’s a little notable are the two activated abilities – basically, the same ability is cheaper if you control a green permanent. It’s an interesting design point that’s a little reminiscent of a card like Warden of the First Tree.

Aaand RoboRosewater knows about Vanguard cards too!

I love that Spike Hunter gets better against decks with Islands in it. You know, decks that Spikes like to play.

This card seems like it could be a real card (apart from the fact that the name and color doesn’t really make sense).

And finally…

Yeah Crimm, no one likes you. Go away.
