Overview

We will have four different types of Legacy tournaments throughout the year:

• Spotlight Events: These Spotlight Events are layered onto a regular, weekly Legacy event, much like the SCG Game Night. We will be “spotlighting” a weekly Legacy event at a store every so often where we award Legacy Series Points to top finishers. Entry fees will range, but will typically be $5 to $10.
• Classic Events: Classic Events are the Legacy Series Events you know and love – once a month at various stores around Arizona (except when a Champs event is happening). Entry fees will typically be $15. Legacy Series Points are awarded to ALL participants. The dates for our Classic Events are January 3rd, February 15th, March 14th, May 23rd, June 13th, and July 26th.
• Seasonal Championships: We have two seasonal championships in 2015 – Spring and Summer. Our Spring Champs will be held on April 4th, 2015 at Play or Draw. Our Summer Champs will be held at Desert Sky Games on August 15th, 2015. These will feature an entry fee of $25 and will award more prizes than our Classic Events. The Legacy Series Points distribution will be double of the Classic Events – meaning that first place receives 20 Legacy Series Points (rather than the normal 10 at the Classic Events), second place receives 16 Legacy Series Points (rather than the normal 8 at the Classic Events), and so on and so forth.
• Legacy Series Masters: This event will be invite only. Click here to see how to get invited. This event will be free to all qualified. We will not be awarding Legacy Series Points at this event. This event will happen on September 5th, 2015.

We will have two seasons, Spring and Summer, each hosting three Classic events and a Champs event to conclude the season. After the Summer Season, we will be hosting an invite-only Masters event! Throughout the year, various Legacy events around Arizona will be selected as Spotlight Events. Look out for one near you!

• Swiss rounds based on attendance, with a cut to Top 8.

• 1st Place: 36 packs, 10 Legacy Series Points
• 2nd Place: 18 packs, 8 Legacy Series Points
• 3rd-4th Place: 12 packs, 6 Legacy Series Points
• 5th-8th Place: 6 packs, 4 Legacy Series Points

If 40 or more players:

• 9th-16th Place: 2 Legacy Series Points
• 17th+ Place: 1 Legacy Series Point

If 39 or fewer players:

• 9th+ Place: 1 Legacy Series Point

Spring Champs Event Details

The May 23rd Summer Classic will award Modern Masters 2015 Edition packs as prizes! As such, the entry fee and payout will be slightly revised:

Legacy Series Masters Event Details

Only the players who qualify via the below methods will be eligible to play in the Legacy Series Masters:

• Win a seasonal championship (Spring Champs or Summer Champs)
• The Top 16 Points Leaders in our 2015 Legacy Series Leaderboard
  • Players who have won a championship are not counted in the Top 16 Point Leaders
  • All players that have the same point total as the 16th at-large Points Leader will also qualify
• Anyone who is not in the Top 16 Point Leaders that has three or more Top 8s in 2015 Legacy Classics or Champs will qualify
