Michael Lester
Bio coming soon!
Michael Coughenour
- Age: 27
- Occupation/School: Electrical Technician
- How long have you been playing Magic? I started playing Magic shortly after The Dark was released in ’94, back when we all still thought Force of Nature was a beast.
- What is your favorite deck of all time? My favorite deck of all time actually saw very little play. It was called Necro-Pebbles, and centered around the card combination of Enduring Renewal, Goblin Bombardment and Shieldsphere, and used cards like Necropotence, Vampiric Tutor and Demonic Consultation to find them and put them together. It was significantly better in Legacy, which wasn’t played heavily at the time, so it didn’t get the praise it deserved.
- What formats do you play? I play a little of everything, but focus primarily on Standard and Legacy. I certainly feel Legacy is my most successful format, anyway.
- Any successful finishes in any events? Nothing too recent. I placed 18th and 22nd respectively in two PTQs last year, but haven’t been in the bubble of late. I placed in the top 8s of a number of GPs and PTQs in 2001-2003, but have never quite qualified.
